Orthodox Christian Reformed Churches
The first OCRC congregation was organized in Litowel (now Wingham), Ontario, in 1979 by families who had left the Christian Reformed Church for doctrinal reasons. Over the next few years, congregations were formed in Grand Valley, MI, Toronto, ON, and Burlington, WA.
Representatives of these churches began meeting in 1981 to discuss church order and federation. The OCRC was formally organized in March 1988 with seven congregation. The denomination has since grown to 14 congregations in 2 classes. Together the churches contain approximately 1,400 members.
At its 2006 synod, the OCRC rejected any aspect of the "Federal Vision" that contradicts scripture or the Reformed confessions. Since then, the federation has lost about half of its members.
NOTE: Churches are called Orthodox Christian Reformed except as noted. CRC - Covenant Reformed Church. ORC - Orthodox Reformed Church.
The Cambridge church has a current list of congregations on its website. Churches listed below in italic type are no longer part of the federation.
