Historical Profile: Sherman Street CRC
Grand Rapids, Michigan
Sherman Street CRC was organized in 1907 as an English-language daughter church of Eastern Avenue.
The membership drop in 1946 was connected to the organization of Calvin CRC, which Sherman Street cosponsored. As with many churches near the old Calvin College campus, membership declined during the 1966-73 period as the college slowly relocated.
